چکیده

demosaic, color image, shiftinvariant Shiftinvariant linear algorithms can be described completely by the algorithm's response to an impulse input. The so called impulse response can be used as filter kernels when the algorithm is equivalently implemented using convolution. This, however, is not true when the system is block-shift invariant, i.e. when invariance is only at repetitive locations. This paper describes a generalization of the impulse response for block shiftinvariant systems. The proposed technique, takes any computer program which implements a linear block-shiftinvariant algorithm, and produces its equivalent filter kernels. These kernels can then be applied efficiently by using convolution. This greatly reduces run time, especially when the convolution is implemented in hardware, or using the FFT.

Conditions for the Existence of Convolution Representations

For an important family of linear shift-invariant multidimensional maps that take (measurable) bounded inputs into bounded outputs, necessary and sufficient conditions are given for the existence of convolution representations with integrable impulse responses. Key-Words: linear systems, convolutions, multidimensional systems, impulse responses, shift-invariant systems, bounded measurable inputs.

Raw Camera Image Demosaicing using Finite Impulse Response Filtering on Commodity GPU Hardware using CUDA

In this paper, we investigate demosaicing of raw camera images on parallel architectures using CUDA. To generate high-quality results, we use the method of Malvar et al., which incorporates the gradient for edgesensing demosaicing. The method can be implemented as a collection of finite impulse response filters, which can easily be mapped to a parallel architecture. We investigated different tr...

Translation Invariant Approach for Measuring Similarity of Signals

In many signal processing applications, an appropriate measure to compare two signals plays a fundamental role in both implementing the algorithm and evaluating its performance. Several techniques have been introduced in literature as similarity measures. However, the existing measures are often either impractical for some applications or they have unsatisfactory results in some other applicati...

Introduction to Schramm-Loewner evolution and its application to critical systems

In this short review we look at recent advances in Schramm-Loewner Evolution (SLE) theory and its application to critical phenomena. The application of SLE goes beyond critical systems to other time dependent, scale invariant phenomena such as turbulence, sand-piles and watersheds. Through the use of SLE, the evolution of conformally invariant paths on the complex plane can be followed; hence a...
